Project Overview

This project was a submission during my internship at IKEA as part of my application for the Interior Design Specialist position. It showcases my ability to fulfill clients' needs and craft narratives within spaces based on their personal backgrounds. All products used in the project are from IKEA's collections, demonstrating my skill in selecting and curating the company's merchandise while aligning them with my proposed theme.

Concept and Layout

A dynamic family of four, Agus is an active 8-year-old, Burhan works from home and collects vinyl, Ratih balances a PR career with her love for cooking, and the grandmother visits on weekends.

The design maximizes flexibility with a private yet well-lit workspace, vertical kitchen storage, smart organization for Agus' hobbies, and multifunctional furniture to accommodate the grandmother's stays.

Interior Spaces

Each space in the apartment is carefully designed to address the specific needs of the family members while ensuring optimal functionality within the compact floor plan.

Workspace
The workspace is placed to maximize natural light, creating a comfortable environment for working from home.
Storage Solutions
A towel rack is cleverly used to hang the child's skateboard collection, keeping it easily accessible, organized, and space-efficient.
Vinyl Collection Storage
Picture rails and shelving units are cleverly used to accommodate the father's vinyl collection, maximizing storage in the compact apartment.
